The Racing Factory with Pedro Almeida in the last round of European Rally Championship
The Racing Factory will be present, from tomorrow, at the 42nd Canary Islas Rally, last round of the FIA ERC - European Rally Championship. In this race that ends the European competition, the structure of Santa Maria da Feira will have the duo Pedro Almeida - Hugo Magalhães, in charge of Peugeot 208 Rally 4, inserted in ERC3 - Junior.
For Pedro Almeida, although this was an atypical time, we have managed to combine a series of tests, which will be important for the future. This is the first time we are going to do the Islas Canarias and above all we want to have a better knowledge of the rally and walk fast, since the level of the European championship is always very demanding".
Justino Reis assumes that for the team, the presence in the European Union is very important. "As we all know, The Racing Factory wants to be present in several championships and the European Rally is one of the competitions that we always try to position ourselves to be present. In a different season, we have been present in several events of this competition and next year we expect to come back with more strength and the same dedication. Pedro Almeida's presence in this rally is part of his evolution as a driver and that's why we will work so that he has the best conditions to fight for the best possible result", he assumed.
The Rally Islas Canarias has 17 specials, disputed between Friday and Saturday. For tomorrow are scheduled the Free Practice and Shakedown, as a virtual autograph session and the departure ceremony of the race disputed on Spanish soil.
