O objectivo era desenvolver um carro que pudesse levar ainda mais longe as capacidades do seu respeitado antecessor. Em quatro anos, tinha ganho tr\u00eas t\u00edtulos do campeonato mundial, centenas de vit\u00f3rias em competi\u00e7\u00f5es em todos os continentes e tinha-se tornado o carro de rali mais bem sucedido do mundo na sua classe.<\/p><p>Este carro \u00e9 alimentado por um motor de 1,6 litros redesenhado que oferece mais pot\u00eancia, refrigera\u00e7\u00e3o e lubrifica\u00e7\u00e3o mais eficientes e uma electr\u00f3nica mais r\u00e1pida do que a sua antecessora. A caixa de velocidades foi adaptada para isto, ao mesmo tempo que prolonga a sua vida \u00fatil. Toda a carro\u00e7aria foi refor\u00e7ada e o chassis foi dotado de um curso de suspens\u00e3o mais longo para maior ader\u00eancia em condi\u00e7\u00f5es
