42nd Rally Sierra Morena Returns to the FIA ERC with 13 Thrilling Stages
The 42nd Rally Internacional Sierra Morena – Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad is set to make history in 2025 as it officially joins the FIA European Rally Championship (FIA ERC). Featuring 13 challenging stages covering 209.96 km of timed racing, this event will showcase Andalusia’s most iconic rally routes. With a mix of high-speed asphalt sections, technical climbs, and legendary rally stages, the itinerary has been carefully designed to test drivers and thrill fans worldwide. Córdoba’s city stage, an urban spectacle along Avenida República Argentina, kicks off the action before competitors tackle the renowned Villaviciosa, Pozoblanco-Villaharta, and Ermitas-Trassierra stages, among others. These historic roads, praised for their demanding terrain and high-speed sections, will ensure an intense battle for the championship.
With a total distance of 664.04 km, including transport sections, the Rally Sierra Morena 2025 promises an unforgettable experience, combining world-class motorsport with Córdoba’s cultural heritage. Welcome to the 2024 FIA European Rally Championship and to another exciting season. Once again, every stage from all eight rounds will be streamed live and on demand for fans to watch whenever, wherever and however they want through WRC Promoter’s streaming platform at http://www.rally.tv/

ERC POINTS
Points are awarded to the top 15 finishers in each category on the following descending scale:

In ERC, ERC3 and ERC4 drivers count their best seven scores from a possible eight. In Junior ERC it’s five rounds from six. The fastest five drivers on the Power Stage score points on a descending scale as follows:

To score points in the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams, competitors must register in ERC, ERC3 or ERC4 under a team name. A maximum of three cars may be registered for the purpose of scoring Team points. A registered Team can score points with the two best placed cars of its Team in the final classification of each rally. For the purpose of calculating points, cars driven by ERC4 priority drivers will score points within their own group.

The following titles are up for grabs in 2024:
- FIA European Championship for Drivers, Co-Drivers and Teams
- FIA ERC3 for Drivers and Co-Drivers
- FIA ERC4 for Drivers and Co-Drivers
- FIA Junior ERC
- FIA Tyre Suppliers Trophy
Tyres
To score ERC points, drivers must use tyres from a registered manufacturer. All Junior ERC entrants must use tyres from Hankook. Tyre use is restricted according to category.
Testing
Testing is restricted to control costs, essentially to one day per rally.
