The 2023 season unveiled a promising name in the rally world, Rafael Rego, through his outstanding participation in the FPAK Junior Team.

This year, Rafael achieved a significant milestone in his career by securing a spot in the Peugeot Rally Cup Portugal, which includes five stages of the National Championship. This event aims to highlight young Portuguese talents driving the Peugeot 208 Rally4.

Rafael’s journey for 2024 starts this weekend at the Rally Casinos do Algarve, marking his return to the tracks, this time with Rui Serra as co-pilot and with technical support from The Racing Factory. Rafael expressed deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to this moment, highlighting Fuchs Portugal for the essential partnership and to The Racing Factory’s CEO, Aloísio Monteiro, not forgetting the unconditional support from his family and fans.

For Rafael, 2024 is a year of consolidation and growth in motorsport, a passion that blossomed in 2023. Having the privilege of being mentored by Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira, and sharing the environment with the experienced Armindo Araújo, Rafael aims to absorb as much knowledge as possible. Determined to repay his partners’ trust with significant results, the driver sees winning the trophy as a challenge but believes in his potential to achieve victory.

The path begins at the Rally Casinos do Algarve, on March 15 and 16, followed by four other crucial stages: Rali Terras d’Aboboreira, Rali Castelo Branco, Rali Vinho da Madeira, and finally the Rali da Água, concluding the championship. Rafael Rego is ready to make history, committed to a season of overcoming and success.
